Armando Pershing, a handsome 32-year-old singer-songwriter, is experiencing success for the first time in his life. You might have even heard of him. And so, it seems only appropriate that with his professional life finally coming into focus, his personal life would fall out of focus; namely, the addition of his sister Marta living with him.
Marta Pershing, a very pretty 38-year-old divorcee with numerous mental issues, is not only falling out of focus, but falling apart. After wearing out her welcome with her ex-husband, their parents, then with their sister Olivia and her family, Marta has now landed on Armando’s doorstep.
On the surface, Armando’s extravagant apartment seems like the logical place for Marta to regroup. After all, she once fancied herself a singer, so why not benefit from her brother’s industry connections. In actuality, however, it might be the worst place for her, considering what she knows, or seems to think she knows, about her little brother and his little life-long crush on his big sister, which nobody else seems to know or acknowledge, least of all Armando.
