After punishing my mom the night before, things were, well, different. Not obviously or blatantly different. Just different.
Take for instance dinner that very next day.

But I’m not about to say the chicken is too dry when it’s not. It really was perfect. So, if my mom was fishing for punishment, she was going to have to give me something actually worthy of punishment. Not some trumped up charges about dry or undry chicken. And then she fished again.
